Kid-Friendly Activities near your Memorial Apartments
Our Energy Corridor townhomes are perfect for people who work at one of the 300 energy companies in the area, but this area is also surprisingly kid-friendly. In fact, Houston in general is a great place to raise kids. The city has a never ending list of kid-friendly activities, and since the weather is warm for 9 months out of the year, you can usually get the kids outside and tire them out. For those days when the weather isn’t cooperating, Houston has lots of different kid-friendly museums that you can take your child to. They might think they’re having fun on a day off from school, but you’ll know that they’re actually learning and growing.
We’ve compiled a list of the most popular kid-friendly activities in Houston, and we’ll be sharing them with our residents in this week’s blog! Take a look at the post below, and please be sure to share the link to this post with your friends and neighbors at your Memorial apartments. Whether you’ve got kids of your own or you’re watching your nieces and nephews for the day, we think you’ll find this post useful.
Although The Health Museum might not sound like the most exciting place to take kids, it’s actually a super kid-friendly museum. Kids will be guided through a tour of the inner workings of the human body. As long as they can get past the “totally gross” parts, they can learn a lot and have fun at the same time. The coolest part of The Health Museum is the exhibit that lets kids figure out their own distinct personality. This museum does a great job of showing not just the physical aspects of the human body, but the mental aspects as well.
It’s always cool when you spend a day with your kid and then bring home a memento that will remind you of that will remind you of that day every time you look at it. That’s why we recommend bringing your kid to The Mad Potter next time you need something to do on a rainy day. This awesome pottery studio lets kids and adults play with clay, make their own pieces, paint them and take them home when they’re done!
Who’s up for a train ride? On the 3rd Saturday of every month, the Houston Area Live Steamers take kids on a train ride through Zube Park. This park is located in Northwest Houston, so it’s not too far from your Energy Corridor apartments community. The train follows a 4,700 ft long track, and lasts for about 15 minutes.
The cool thing about the Houston Area Live Steamers is that the trains don’t look like those corny model trains that you see in most parks. These are realistic model trains, like the kind your kid is used to seeing on real railroads.
With that, we’ve reached the end of our list of kid-friendly activities in the Houston area. Thanks for reading, the latest post, residents! We hope you’re able to take your kids to some of the places listed above, and that you and your child have a blast.
