Tips for Keeping your Memorial Apartments Organized
Organizing your Energy Corridor luxury townhomes doesn’t have to be the awful chore that you think it’ll be. Even if you hate the idea of cleaning and organizing, you know that you’ll feel stress-free and a sense of relief will wash over you once your apartment is tidy. Plus, the organizing project will be much easier after you read this blog full of helpful tips.
Before we get to the post below, we want to make sure you’re prepared to organize. Part of organizing is establishing which things you need and which things you don’t. That means you might be faced with decisions about whether to hold onto your possessions or get rid of them. If you ask us, it always feels better to get rid of something you never use than to hang onto it. Throwing things away (or giving them to Goodwill) is cathartic, in a way.
Check out the tips for keeping your Memorial apartments organized, and be sure to share this post with any or your friends or neighbors who might not be getting the hint that their place is looking a little messy these days.
Tip #1 — Figure out what you do and don’t need access to
If you just moved into your apartment, now is the perfect time to separate things into piles labeled, “Need this often” and “hardly ever use this.” If you’ve been in your apartment for awhile, this will be a slightly more daunting task, but still a worthwhile one. Once you have your possessions separated into these two categories, you’ll be able to make sure the visible space in your apartment is only filled with the things you use on a regular basis.
Tip #2 — Add pieces to your closet, if necessary
Alexan Ashford residents love the roomy closets in our Energy Corridor townhomes, but there’s always room for improvement. There are hundreds of extra pieces that you can buy for your closet that actually add storage space, even if they take up a little extra room. We’re talking about hanging shoe racks, extra rods and the like. Your closet is your main storage space, so make sure you have the storage containers necessary to keep your clutter out of sight and out of mind.
Tip #3 — Don’t wait; get in the habit of cleaning
Don’t worry, we’ll provide you with a plan for getting into the habit of organizing. If you’re not super into the idea of tidying up your apartment, it’s going to be a while before you develop habits that keep you organized. You can start by making your bed every morning. When you walk into your room for the first few days, you’ll wonder who snuck into your apartment and made your bed, but soon you’ll get used it. Next, try to get in the habit of always putting your clothes away in drawers, the hamper or hanging them up in the closet. Clothes are the number one contributor to messy bedrooms, and that’s a fact.
